Legoland

Following Disneyland, we drove south from Anaheim to Carlsbad, CA to visit Legoland, a theme park full of giant and miniature animals, people and structures built with legos. We saw a Volvo SUV (actual size), a huge dragon, and entire Lego cities. The were some rides, but the boys were more interested in all the cool things made with Legos. We spent 2 hours in Miniland, where you see miniaturized cities; places like NYC, Washington DC, and Las Vegas. The boys were enthralled and fascinated by all the details in these mini cities. There were moving vehicles in each display, people on the sidewalks, and every imaginable detail that you would see in a real city. It was interesting. Leif did the Volvo driving school where kids get to drive cars that look like Volvos around a track that has real road signs, lane divisions, and traffic. Leif is an excellent driver.

Oh, one more interesting thing: in the parking lot, there are special parking spaces up front for Volvo cars. Yep, if you drive a Volvo, you get special parking. Leif wants us to buy a Volvo so we can park in the special spaces next time we visit Legoland.
